Sister Beulah Weaver

September 19, 1942 — July 6, 2020

Wallingford

Sister Beulah Faye Jones Weaver, was welcomed to her Heavenly home in the early morning hours of Monday July 6th surrounded by her children, grandchildren and Sweetie Peach of 62 years, her ever faithful and loving husband Bob.

Born on September 19, 1942, she was the only child of the late Elmer and Maude Jewell Caskey Jones.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert “Bob” Weaver, Sr., whom she married on October 19, 1957. Two daughters Rebecca “Judy” & Woodie Jamison, of Hillsboro, KY and Lynn & Mike Workman, of Crain Creek Rd, KY and One Son, Bobby & Donna Weaver, of Crain Creek Rd, KY.

Seven Grandchildren – Aaron Workman, Brittany & Seth Greenhill, Robert Workman, Emily Jamison, Kaitlyn Weaver, Rebekah Weaver, and Elizabeth & Matthew Jenkins.

Eight Great Grandchildren – Kurtiss, Kadence, RJ, Emmie, Liam, Ellie, Rhett and Liza.

Growing up in the 40’s and 50’s was a very difficult time and Beulah made no secret of the fact that she didn’t finish school – it wasn’t because she didn’t like school, it was because it was difficult for her to attend.  The last grade that she completed was the 8th grade.  In the 1960’s, with encouragement from family and friends Beulah completed her GED and went on to complete a degree from Rowan Vocational School, in Secretarial Studies.

Finding “that” job was always difficult, she worked many odd jobs throughout her life, including maid at a hotel, waitress, she even owned and operated a country store.  After completing her degree, she worked at the Sawmill for her brother-in-law for nine years as his Secretary.

However, of all the “careers” she was ever “paid” to do, none of them could quite compare to the things she was best at – and she was never paid a monetary amount to do.  She was THE BEST MOM!!  She was a strict disciplinarian, and her children had to mind her, but she was so good to them.  She gave the best advice, she listened, she held them when they cried and even when they didn’t --- there was never a doubt where she stood with them and them with her.  She trusted them!  She loved them beyond all capacity to do so and they know that still.  She told them every time she spoke to them “I Love you” – because she loved them.

Her relationship with Bob, transcends anything in the dictionary.  There just are not words to describe how she felt about him and him about her.  When those two children vowed to love one another until death—through sickness and in health, neither of them knew the things that would come over the next 60+ years, but my oh my what a love story.  Often you could see them in church, or at the park, the last days of her life….holding hands.  Is that something young people even do now?

On November 14, 1975 – she gave her heart to her Lord and Savior and she was set on a road to make Heaven her home.  When Bob was saved in 1986 and they began their Christian journey together, going to Church was the highlight of their week.  In 1989 she accepted the call to preach the word.  She tried to bargain with the Lord, she asked him “to just let Bob do it”, but that wasn’t the Lord’s will – She embraced the call and used her ministry to lead others to the Lord.  She was the Associate Pastor at both Plummers Landing and Crain Creek Christian Churches over the next 30 years.  She and Bob enjoyed ministering to people, they visited many people in their homes and in hospitals, going wherever they were called.  In their later years they especially enjoyed traveling to revivals.

Sister Beulah has been blessed with a full life, with lifelong friendships.  Having been an only child and having had a very close relationship with her own precious Mother, she knew all too well the importance of family and what it meant to have that bond--with Bob, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but above all her Lord and Savior.

She’ll be waiting at the River for you.
