Roy Lee Brown, 88, of Debord Branch, Morehead, passed away Friday morning, October 16, 2020 at his home.

He was born on February 8, 1932 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Willie and Katie Blanton Brown.

Roy was a maintenance worker for Rowan Water, having retired in 1997 and he was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, sightseeing and visiting with and talking to his friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Kelsey Brown, who passed away on October 30, 2014, one son, Jeffrey Roy Brown, who passed away in 1976, two brothers, Edward Brown and Tom Brown and three sisters, Sylvia Brown, Jane Croghan and Eva Stanislawczyk.

Survivors include one daughter, Robin Brown of Morehead, one son, Paul Edward Brown and his wife, Rosa of Ashland, sister-in-law, Juanita Brown of Melbourne, Florida and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Butch Kelsey officiating.

Burial with full military honors by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126 will be in the Cranston Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
