Rebecca Black

Rebecca Lynn Black, 47 of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Saturday evening July 24, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital-Main in Lexington, Kentucky after a brief illness. She was born December 27, 1973 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Charles Douglas Black and Barbara Wallace Black.

She was a graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and enjoyed watching TV, coloring, card games, role playing games and spending time with her family and friends.  She was also an animal lover and especially loved her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lee Black.

Survivors include her brothers, John D. (Audrey) Donathan of Olympia, Kentucky, Robert Matthew Black and Dallas Ray Daniel Black of Morehead. One sister, Elizabeth Miller of Olympia and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Also surviving are special friends who were like siblings to her, Michael Boggs, Jessica Roberts-Smith and Leondus Vinson.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, July 30, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Leondus Vinson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Black Cemetery on Ramey Ridge Road in Morehead.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 6:00 pm Thursday.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Black, Robert Black, David Lee Donathan, Denys Samuels, William Brown, Leondus Vinson, John David Donathan, Danny Weir, Joe Suttles, Elijah Hartgrove, Jeff Zutaut, Scott Almacy, Ryan Buchanan and Brent Wilson.
