Michael Earl Perry, 64, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born on February 7, 1957 in Melbourne, Florida, a son of the late Marvin and Noela Lagasse Perry.

Michael had been an iron worker for Iron Workers Local 25 and he was a United States Marine Corps Veteran having served during Vietnam.

He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the V.F.W. and an honorary member of the Iron Workers Local 25.

Michael enjoyed flying, motorcycles, hunting, fishing, doing carpentry work and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Perry and one brother, Marvin Perry III.

Survivors include his wife, Charleen Sargent Perry, one son, Michael Perry, Jr. and his wife, Aimee of Bangor, Michigan, one daughter, Lynette Helton of Morehead, two brothers, Mitchell Perry of Crofton, Kentucky and Marion Perry of Tullahoma, Tennessee, three sisters, Alice Jarrell of Crofton, Kentucky, Marlene Goodpaster of Lynchburg, Tennessee and Aurora Perry of Corpus Christi, Texas, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
