Jim Edd Helterbrand, 82 of Morehead, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born October 6, 1937 to the late Les and Dollie Plank Helterbrand.

Jim was a retired farmer and logger and enjoyed working on tractors, trading, going to auctions and court days at Preston, deer hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Ernie Stacy, Chester Stacy, Cecil Stacy and Claude Stacy.

Survivors include his wife Alice Ponzell Littleton Helterbrand whom he married on July 21, 1978; one son, Larry Littleton of Morehead; one brother, Richard Helterbrand and wife Edith of Morehead; two grandchildren, Brian Littleton and his wife Nicole and Wesley Helterbrand;  two great grandchildren; Taitum Littleton and Titus Littleton. Also several special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be conducted Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Noel Lee officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery at Cranston.

Pall bearers will be Larry Littleton, Brian Littleton, Wesley Helterbrand, Charles Stacy, Tony Stacy, Howard Helterbrand, Bob Stacy and Stevie Helterbrand.

In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Cranston Cemetery Association,  C/O James Mabry, 280 Pond Lick, Morehead, Kentucky 40351 or the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church C/O Teresa Helterbrand, 1055 Elick Lick Road, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.
