Carl "Cobb" Fultz

Carl  "Cobb" David Fultz, 80 of Olive Hill, Kentucky peacefully left his earthly home to continue his journey with God in the early morning hours of Friday, August 27, 2021.

He was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on March 21, 1941 to the late Earl and Edith Clark Fultz.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jewell Barker Fultz, his siblings, Meredith Messer, Buster Fultz, Dolly Maze, Earl Fultz, Jr., and Donald Fultz.

Cobb was a simple man who simply loved life. Most of his early years were spent raising his children and farming. He loved being outdoors squirrel hunting, fishing and doing small engine repair. He retired from White's sawmill and worked on lawnmowers as a hobby. Later years he loved porch sitting, taking in the beauty of nature, his grandchildren and visitors. Cobb loved everyone and everyone loved him. He always made his home a place of comfort and a meal to anyone who needed it.

Survivors include his children; James Darrell Fultz (Jeannie), Mary Rayburn (Darby), Christopher David Fultz (Kim) all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Carl Ray Fultz (Serena) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Virginia Kay Deitriech (John) of Elliottville, Kentucky and Joey Dean Fultz (Kayla) of Soldier, Kentucky. Siblings; Virginia Blevins (Robert) of Soldier, Kentucky, Patty Glover (Johnny) of Morehead, Kentucky, Joyce Clay of Ashland, Kentucky and Dana Fultz (Karen) of Enterprise, Kentucky. Fifteen grandchildren; Travis, Morgan, Sarah, Deven, Dalton, Cameron, Jayce, Jacob, McKenzie, Brandon, Sean, Crystal, Isaiah, Christopher, Anthony and many others who called him Papaw. Also, nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, August 29, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Jason Johnson and Rev. Larry Hamm officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dean Cemetery in Carter County.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 12 Noon Sunday.

Pall bearers will be Dana Fultz, Robert Blevins, Cameron Fultz, Travis Legg, Deven Legg and Brandon Wells. Honorary pall bearer will be Dalton Legg.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 808 Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky is caring for the arrangements for Mr. Carl David "Cobb" Fultz.
