Barry Steven "Steve" Easterling, 66 of Proctor Branch, Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away peacefully Saturday morning May 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on June 13, 1954 to the late Gerald Emerson Easterling and Mattie Jewell Elam Easterling.
Steve was a loader operator for Grayson Stone and Coal and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, bow hunting, raising a garden, canning, four wheeling and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Stevie Joe Easterling. Two sisters; Judith Caddell and Diane Cook. Three brothers; Harold Stanley Easterling, Rodney Easterling and Jerry Easterling.
Survivors include his wife Trella Purnell Easterling whom he married on May 5, 1972. One daughter, Regina Easterling Williams and her husband Rondall of Gillsville, Georgia. Four brothers; Elbert (Ruby) Easterling, Jeff Easterling, and Jack (Valerie) Easterling all of Morgan County, Kentucky and Tommy (Claudia) Easterling of Bath County, Kentucky. Three sisters; Janice Easterling, Pamela Gail (Paul) Williams and Valerie Cotten all of Morgan County. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Monday, May 31, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Willie Sturgill and Brother Rob Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ernest Purnell Cemetery on Proctor Branch.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 12 Noon Monday.
Pall bearers will be Elbert Easterling, Jeff Easterling, Jack Easterling, Tommy Easterling, Rondall Williams and James Robinson.
