Morehead

“For Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”  Luke 23:43

Mrs. Barbara Ann Hall, age 73, of Boodry Place in Morehead, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her residence after a long courageous battle with lung cancer for nearly 8 years!

Barbara Ann Hall was born April 22, 1948 in Lawton, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Arnel and Ruby Jeffery Barker.

Barbara was a homemaker for the majority of her life.  She spent her early years raising her three children, who she loved very much.  She was known for her wild sense of humor, sassiness, drawing skills and her love of children.  She also served as a child care provider for family, friends and neighbors.  She loved playing with babies, and said they reminded her of angels.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, drawing, coloring, Lifetime movies, telling ghost stories, singing silly songs, reflecting on her life through retelling stories, eating sweets and cooking for anyone who was hungry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many family members that each took a small piece of her heart with their passing.  Her husband, Gary Lee Hall, two brothers, James Barker and Kenneth Barker, a sister, Jewell Fultz and three grandchildren, Randall Joshua Miller, Alicia Nichole Hartman and Gary Joe Hall Jr.

Survivors include her three children, Gary Joe Hall (Debby) of Hamilton, Ohio and Brenda Miller (Andy) and Michael Hall all of Morehead, Kentucky, grandchildren, Jessica Kimbler (Tony) of Ohio, Johnathan Hall (Brianna) of Morehead, Samantha Williams (Ryan) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Terra Hall (Clayton), Talissa Crider (Justin), Michael Hall Jr., Katlynn Hall, Sara Miller, Andrew Miller Jr., and Hana Miller all of Morehead, seven great-grandchildren, Alex Hartman, Madison Hartman, Gabby Williams, Lilly Williams, Avery Hall, Waylon Crider and Everly Hall, four brothers, Lester Barker of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Homer Barker of Lawton, Kentucky, Willard Barker of Mansfield, Ohio and Daniel Boone Barker of Morehead and six sisters, Teresa Blevins of Maxey Flat, Kentucky, Sue Simmons, Faye Roberts and Sheila Burton all of Olive Hill, Debbie Armstrong of Morehead and Judy Cox of Niles, Ohio.  She is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, those of whom she shared many adventures with throughout her life.  One thing for sure, she loved her family unconditionally.

Mrs. Barbara Ann Hall loved angels and now she has become one.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  She will live on forever in the memories of those who knew her.
