Allene Conn

Allene Porter Conn, 89 of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. She was born October 19, 1932 in Carter County, Kentucky  to the late Harlan and Gladys Harper Porter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law Coy and Vickie Roberts Conn. Two sisters, Helen Thomas and Eunice Fraley. Two brothers, Clinton Porter and Clyde Porter.

Allene was a member of Charity Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from Cowden Manufacturing after 40 years of service. She was well known as an excellent cook and baker who enjoyed sharing food with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, studying her bible and going to church.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Larry) Cooper of Elliottville, Kentucky and Alberta Greene of Morehead. Two sons, Troy (Cindy) Conn and Herman Conn of Carter County, Kentucky.

One brother Clifford Porter of Elliottville. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Charity Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Rob Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Fouch and Cooper Cemetery in Elliottville.

Visitation at the Charity Free Will Baptist Church is after 11:00 am Saturday.

Pall bearers will be Phillip Roe, David Weaver, Richard Clise, Jeffrey Porter, Lyndon Perry and Mike Gray.
