Watt White

February 14, 1924 — June 4, 2011

Mr. Watt White, age 87 of Clearfield, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 in the Life Care Center in Morehead.

He was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on February 14, 1924 to the late Frank and Rebecca White.

Mr. White was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during W.W. II.

He was retired from the Rowan County School System having served as a teacher, principal and administrator.

He was a graduate of Morehead State University, member of the K.E.A., was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and raising a garden.

He was preceded in death by his wife Essie Hay White on May 26, 2011,brothers; Ernest, Calvin, Burt, Burl and sisters; Bessie, Mary and Betty.

Survivors include one son, Christopher (Millicent) White of Salt Lick, Kentucky, two daughters, Cindy Lancaster of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Jacquelyn Wolber of Clearfield, Kentucky. Two brothers, Bernard White and Edgar White and two sisters, Iva White Hampton and Hazel White Sloan.

Very special cousins; Coleman and Inez White and their children Mickey and Tammy, Larry White (Deceased) and Mary Alice White Gilliam and children Roma, Shannon, Delaine and Janelle.

Two Grandchildren; Porshia Forehand and John Lancaster and two great-grandchildren; Caleigh White and Bailey White.

Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 9:00 A.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home officiated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Owingsville Ward.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
