Ms. Wanda Adkins Marshall, 82, of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 4, 1936 in Rowan County, Kentucky, to the late John R. and Delphia Lands Adkins.

Ms. Marshall worked in food service for many years and she was a former partner in the Goodie Hutt at Trademore Shopping Center, was a former employee of Roses and had worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter.

She enjoyed lighthouses, bowling, crafts, playing Bridge and interior decorating.

Wanda was an energetic, fun loving person who had a spicy personality. She loved people and people loved her, She will be missed by her many friends and family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Schroeter and Karen Sue Hockett Emlet, two brothers, John Paul Adkins and Donald Lee Adkins and four sisters, Barbara Ann Collins, Ina Clo Templeman, Evelyn Ellis and Margaret Louise Adkins.

Survivors include her son, Harry Hockett of Morehead, son-in-law, Cary Schroeter of Colonial Beach, Virginia, one brother, Larry Adkins of Morehead, one sister, Jean Barker of Morehead, two grandsons, Bryan Schroeter of San Diego California and Adam Schroeter of Seattle, Washington and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Andy Lands officiating.

Visitation is after 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
