Virginia Moore Tackett, 90, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 at her home.
She was born on May 31, 1932 in Morgan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late James Clayton Moore and Eleanor Easterling Moore.
Mrs. Tackett was a homemaker and a member of the Thrive Church.
She enjoyed working, sewing, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, DeForest Tackett and one brother, Gordon Moore.
Survivors include one son, Roger Tackett of DeBary, Florida, one daughter, Denise Crosby of Mt. Sterling, two sisters, Wilma Tackett of Mt. Sterling and Dianna Robbins of Flat Rock, Michigan, two grandchildren, Keith Tackett and Dr. Tamera Tolson, three great-grandchildren, Chase Tackett, Taylor Nicole Tolson and Rey Alexandria Tolson and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 5, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Tyler Robbins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
