Virginia Louise Nickell, 88, of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Wednesday December 14, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

She was born March 11, 1934, in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Melville Shepherd Johnson and Linnie Adkins Johnson.

Virginia was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, watching her tv shows, and spending time with her family especially the grandchildren which brought a sparkle to her eyes.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Thomas Nickell.

Survivors include two daughters: Sheilah Lacy and husband Garold of Elliottville, Kentucky and Patricia Lee Nickell of Morehead. Three grandchildren; Staci Marie Collins, Jennifer Nicole Sabon and John Garold Lacy.

Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M Saturday December 17, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the McDaniel-Adkins-Fraley Cemetery.

Visitation after 11:00 A.M Saturday until the hour of service on Saturday.

Casket Bearers will be friends and family.

All arrangements for Virginia Louise Nickell and her family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 808 Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.
