Virgie Ellen Marie Mauk Littleton, 77, of Maysville, Kentucky formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was born on March 13, 1949 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Langley Roosevelt Mauk and Catherine Fife Mauk.
Virgie had worked as a home education aide for the Rowan County Board of Education.
She was a member of the Christian Church and enjoyed crafts, crocheting, puzzles, sewing and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Elwood Mauk and three sisters, Margaret Mauk, Betty Jane Hall and Ida Lee Johnson Helms.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Vincent Littleton, one son, Fred Vincent Littleton, Jr. (Lora) of Fort Worth, Texas, two daughters, Malida Branham (Billy) of Morehead and Montina Boggs (Cebert) of Mayslick, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, Starly Smoot of Maysville, Levi Smoot (Tandy) of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Selena McClanahan (Harley) of Wallingford, Kentucky, Jayla, Georgia and Jasmyn Boggs all of Mayslick and Kyle Littleton (Ivett) and Joshua Littleton all of Fort Worth, Texas, six great-grandchildren, Carly Smoot of Maysville, Lyndon Littleton and Hannah Littleton both of Fort Worth, and Blade, Sterling and Hemi McClanahan all of Wallingford, one brother, Franklin Mauk (Donna) of Morehead, five sisters, Laura Skaggs (Charlie), Mary Ann Littleton and Kathy Holbrook (Kenneth) all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Colleen Reed and Delphia Plank both of Morehead and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 28, 2026 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.
Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery at Cranston.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Littleton, Joshua Littleton, Levi Smoot, Harley McClanahan, Cebert Boggs and Billy Branham.
