Thalia Amber Crouch Purnell

Thalia Amber Crouch Purnell, 72 of Morehead, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday afternoon, July 4, 2024. She was born December 3, 1951, in Morehead, Kentucky to the late Billy and Roma Armitage Crouch.

Her family was very important to her, she was a dedicated, devoted and loving mother. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her flowers, watching game shows and spoiling her little Yorkie "Loo Loo".

Thalia operated a daycare in her home for many years where she cared for countless children and treated them like they were her very own. In later years she recalled the memories of the children she cared for and enjoyed reminiscing about them every day.

Survivors include her son Chris Purnell and two daughters, Tina Purnell and Clarissa Purnell all of Morehead. One brother Anthony Crouch and his wife Debbie of Louisville, Kentucky and one sister, Anna Marie Johnson of Morehead. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Also surviving is her little Yorkie, "Loo Loo" who was her constant companion.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Rusty Hedrick officiating.

Burial will follow in the Earn Purnell Cemetery in Carter County.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 12 Noon Monday.

Family and friends will serve as pall bearers.
