Mrs. Teresa Marlene Sturgill Maze, 57, of Salt Lick, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling.

She was born on December 31, 1955 in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles and Lena Boggs Howard.

Teresa was an instructor at Montgomery County Area Technology Center. She had previously worked at Community Trust Bank in Ashland for over twenty-three years.

Teresa graduated from Morehead State University summa cum laude with a BA in Business and Information Technology Education and a Master's of Teaching in Middle School Math. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Societies.

She attended Hedricks Community Church and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Teresa enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, crocheting, going to church and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Howard and two sisters, Loretta Howard and Betty Criss.

Survivors include her husband, Tim Maze, two sons, Zachary (Allison) Sturgill of Salt Lick and Zephan Taylor Sturgill of Morehead, one daughter, Tamra (Paul) Williamson of Huntington, West Virginia, three brothers, Marvin (Phyllis) Howard of Westwood, Eddie Howard of West Hyannisport, Massachusetts and David (Tootie) Howard of Lynnville, Ohio, three sisters, Joyce (Walter T.) Bramblette of Ashland, Donna Parsons of Ashland and Jean (Johnny) Carr of Greenup, her mother-in-law, Maryetta Maze of Salt Lick and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 25, 2013 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Ison and Brother Randall Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Carey Cemetery.

Visitation is from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Bill Criss, Billy Criss, Nathan Bradford, Joe Mitchell, Jeff McCarty and Glendon Harris.
