Mrs. Teresa Elaine Owens Hilterbrand, 54, of Muses Mills, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

She was born on February 14, 1959, in Grant County, Kentucky, a daughter of Robert "Bobby" Owens and the late Mildred Irene Lewis Owens.

Mrs. Hilterbrand was the former manager of H & R Block. She was of the Church of God faith and attended Morehead State University. Teresa was known as being a good cook and she enjoyed working outdoors, raising a garden, working in flowers and being in the woods.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Irene Lewis Owens, who passed away on April 26, 2012.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Hilterbrand, her father, Robert "Bobby" Owens of Vanceburg, two sons, David Gulley (fiancAC., Brittany) of Biloxi, Mississippi and Curtis Neil Gulley (Companion, Michelle) of Muses Mills, two daughters, Dessie Irene (Bobby) Trent of Mt. Sterling and Amanda Cierra Lynn (Zeb) Gulley of Muses Mills, three step-sons, Christopher Scott (Betty) Hilterbrand of Muses Mills, James Lee Hilterbrand of Lexington and Jeremy Wayne (Angela) Hilterbrand of Williamstown, Kentucky, one step-daughter, Michelle (Daryl) Plank of Flemingsburg, ten brothers, Robert Glen (Peggy) Owens II "BJ" of Vanceburg, Gregory (Tawnya) Owens of Ribolt, Kentucky, Christopher (Wanda) Owens of Falls Church, Virginia, Victor (Jennifer) Owens of Olive Hill, Matthew Owens of Olive Hill, Andy (Jenny) Owens of Morehead, Jason (Missy) Owens of Olive Hill, Scott (Jennifer) Owens of Garrison, Brian (Fonda) Owens of Morehead and Nicholas Owens of Vanceburg, three sisters, Marilyn (Lanny) Stone of Vanceburg, Diahann (Gary) Gross of Lexington and Racheal Owens of Olive Hill, twelve grandchildren, her mother-in-law, Edna Hilterbrand of Muses Mills and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix with Doug Reeves officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owens Family Cemetery in Lewis County.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Friday at the Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix.

Pallbearers will be David Gulley, Curtis Gulley, Tyler Carpenter, Andy Owens, Andrew Owens, Zeb Gulley, Victor Owens and Jason Owens.

Christopher Gulley will be an honorary pallbearer.
