Mr. Stanley Estill Kidd, 85, of Rosedale Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at his home.
He was born on July 18, 1927 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late David and Elizabeth Martt Kidd.
Mr. Kidd was a retired farmer and logger. He was a member of the Slab Camp Christian Church and he enjoyed U.K. basketball, country music and raising a garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Della C. Kidd, Clella B. Kidd, Earl L. Kidd and Rev. Davis Kidd and one sister, Ruby Lykins.
Survivors include one son, Keith Kidd of Morehead, four daughters, Kathy Porter, Karen Kidd and Connie (Trent) Hamilton all of Morehead and Christy (Jerry) Lewis of Sandy Hook, eleven grandchildren, Scott Porter, Kevin Porter, Joseph Porter, Valerie Wurth, Matt Forman, Amy Yates, Allison Modaff, Andrea Schaffer, Jeremy Kidd, Joseph Hamilton and Abby Fouch, twenty-one great-grandchildren and another due anytime and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Brother Herbert D. Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
