Sharlet Caldwell Gibson, 62, of Lower Licking Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
She was born on September 23, 1951 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of Ima J. Wages Caldwell and the late Homer Clyde "Brub" Caldwell.
Sharlet was a homemaker and a member of the Bluebank First Church of God.
She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, traveling, Native American Culture and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Sharlet was preceded in death by her father, Homer Clyde "Brub" Caldwell, who passed away on April 9, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, Jasen Gibson of Morehead, Travis (Heather) Gibson of Morehead and Tye (Miranda) Gibson of Lexington, her mother, Ima J. Wages Caldwell of Morehead, one brother, Chris C. Caldwell of Morehead, six grandchildren, Trevor Gibson, Gracie Gibson, Owen Gibson, Avery Gibson, Sophia Gibson and Cameron Gibson, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Caldwell and Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery at Midland.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Cole Caldwell, Wes Black, Jeff Elmore, Todd Gibson, Phillip Swim and Gary Wages.
