Rose Phillips

October 10, 1942 — January 11, 2012

Mrs. Rose Ann Denton Carter Phillips, 69, of Elliott County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after an illness of several weeks.

She was born on October 10, 1942 in Bath County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Walter Lee Denton and Mattie Manley Denton.

Mrs. Phillips was a Licensed Practical Nurse retiring after over 20 years of service at St. Claire Regional Medical Center. She attended the Sandy Hook United Methodist Church, was a Farm Bureau Board Member for several years and enjoyed traveling and listening to and singing gospel music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Denton and Charles Denton.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Phillips, two sons, David (Mindy) Crockett of Owingsville and Leslie Lindon Garner of Cincinnati, Ohio, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Weaver officiating.

Burial will follow in the Manley Cemetery in Owingsville, Kentucky.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Chris Crockett, Travis Crockett, Jeremy Weaver, Nathan Dailey, Mitchell Smith, Jr., Levi Everhart and Jack Carter.
