Roscoe Humbarger, Jr., 84, of Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born on May 10, 1941 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a son of the late Roscoe Humbarger, Sr. and Charlotte Eleanor Hurd Humbarger.
Roscoe was retired from the Ford Motor Company and he was also a minister, having served as an assistant pastor and deacon.
He was a member of the New Hope Community Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky and the N.R.A., which he avidly supported.
Roscoe enjoyed studying the Bible, playing the guitar, being a song leader, spending time with his family, hunting, guns, fishing, reading, Nascar, hot rod cars, grilling and cooking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Humbarger and Loretta Gendron and one grandson, Kyle Humbarger.
Survivors include his wife of almost 61 years, Jacqueline McDaniel Humbarger, whom he married on May 30, 1964, two sons, Brent Humbarger (Lisa) of Wallingford and Mark Humbarger (Joy) of Belleville, Michigan, one daughter, Kimberley Johnson (Ronald) of Ypsilanti, two brothers, Paul Humbarger of South Shore, Kentucky and William Humbarger of Olive Hill, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the New Hope Community Church (On Henderson Branch in Olive Hill) with Brother Wess Diamond officiating.
Burial will follow in the Humbarger Family Cemetery on Dehart Cemetery Road in Olive Hill.
Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Mark Humbarger, Spencer Johnson, David Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Martin McGaha and William Munsel.
