Noah E. "Satch" Stidam, 90, a cherished member of the community, peacefully departed this life on December 8, 2024, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Philip Littleton, in Morehead, Kentucky. Born on June 15, 1934, in Clearfield, Kentucky, Noah lived a life rich with faith, humor, and love.
He made his home in Shelby, Ohio, beginning in 1965, where he dedicated his career to Akro Industry until his retirement in 1987. Known affectionately as the "Junk Man," Noah had a passion for treasure hunting and could often be seen driving his old truck in search of broken gems waiting to be renewed. His love for adventure was matched only by his delightful sense of humor; he was always ready to share a laugh, tell a story, or engage in lively conversation.
Noah was a man of strong faith, deeply committed to his Apostolic beliefs. He found joy and solace in discussing the Bible and was immensely proud of his relationship with the Lord. For his 90th birthday, his family gifted him a memorable trip to the Ark Encounter, a testament to the importance of both his faith and family in his life.
Noah leaves behind four loving daughters: Debra Stevens of Belleville, Michigan; Patricia Littleton and her husband Philip of Morehead, Kentucky; Sharon Barrera and her husband Juan of Wallingford, Kentucky; and Pamela Pollard and her husband Paul of Belleville, Michigan. Also, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He will be profoundly missed by them, his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Willie and Gracie Hicks Stidam; his wife, Dorothy Stidam; brother Zanie Ray Wright; sister Thelma Gregory; grandson Joshua Stevens; son-in-law Jerry Stevens; and infant brother Hobert Stidam.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Michael R Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Jared DeAtley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery on Clearfork Road at Cranston.
