Nancy Jane Howard Thornsberry, 80, of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
She was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on September 23, 1940 to the late Vernon and Alice Logan Howard.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Bob Adams and her second husband Delbert Thornsberry; two sons Robert Gene Adams Jr. and Stephen Lee Adams. Two brothers, Milburn Howard and Kermit Howard.
Nancy was retired from the Frenchburg Job Corps and had worked at the Morehead Treatment Center. She was also a veteran of the United States Navy and for several years managed the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post.
Nancy enjoyed reading, animals, watching TV and was a wonderful cook. She was also a member of the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Survivors include three Grandchildren Chris Adams, Robyn Adams, and Bradley Adams all of Morehead. One Great Granddaughter, Stevie Adams. Two nieces, Barbara Howard and Kathy Howard and two nephews, Jeff Howard and Mike Howard. Special friend Porter Jones of Morehead. Also, several other relatives and many special friends.
Private services will be conducted Sunday, November 29, 2020 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral in Morehead with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.
Burial with full military honors by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126 will follow in the Howard Cemetery in Morehead.
The funeral for Mrs. Nancy Jane Howard Thornsberry will be livestreamed on the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 2 P.M. Sunday.
Serving as pall bearers will be Chris Adams, Jeff Howard, Porter Jones, Bradley Adams, Sean Howard and Logan Howard.
Covid-19 restrictions as mandated by the state will be adhered to.
