Mildred Jean Patrick

Mildred Jean Patrick, 87, of Mason, Ohio passed away Friday, April 25, 2025. She was born on December 20, 1937 in Mount Sterling, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter and Cosy Withrow Barker. She was married to the late Rush Patrick in Morehead, Kentucky. 

Jean retired from Morehead State University after 30 years of service. She lived in Morehead, Kentucky for the majority of her life where she was a member of Haldeman Church of God. She had a hope in Jesus Christ for a resurrection from the dead and was looking forward to going home to be with the Lord. Also, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rush Patrick, brothers, John Barker, Troy Barker and Bob Barker. Sisters: Hazel Colene Potts, Virginia Faye Hinton and Evelyn Barker.

 Survivors include one son, Darin Patrick and his wife, Amanda of Mason, Ohio, brother, Ernest Barker of Muncie, Indiana, sister, Wilma Lewis of Georgetown, Kentucky. Also, she is survived by four grandchildren, Gabe, Anna, Audrina and Liam Patrick, Graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the New Sill Cemetery with Darin Patrick officiating.

Family and friends will gather at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday for the procession to the Cemetery.
