Michael Dale Purnell, 72, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at his home.
He was born on September 17, 1953 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Emil Lee Purnell and Ada Fultz Purnell.
Mike was a retired subcontractor.
He is survived by his brother, Terry Lee Purnell of Morehead.
Graveside services and burial will be conduced at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Ditney Ridge Cemetery with Mike Gray officiating.
There is no visitation.
The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 808 Old Flemingsburg Road in Morehead is caring for all arrangements for Michael Dale Purnell.
