Mrs. Mary Jo Poston Jessee, Age 83 of Clearfield, passed away Sunday morning, June 26, 2011 at her home after an extended illness.
She was born in Morehead, Kentucky on June 4, 1928 to the late Earnie and Lennie Sorrell Poston.
Mrs. Jessee enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards, sewing, bird watching, sports, especially Kentucky Wildcats, Nascar, Drag Racing and spending time with her family.
She was of the Church of God faith and was a former employee of the Holiday Inn.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lois Hayden Jessee, three brothers, Malcom Poston, Don Poston and James Poston. Also one sister, Pansy Pitts.
Survivors include two sons; Louis Jesse of Clearfield and Kenny Jessee of Huntsville, Alabama. Two daughters, Nowana Lewis of Clearfield and Renea Davis of Sharonville, Ohio.
Two brothers, Billy Poston of Morehead and Lilburn Poston of Xenia, Ohio.
Four sisters, Delores Durham, Ruth Glover and Karen Johnson all of Morehead and Sue Miller of Xenia, Ohio.
Six Grandchildren, Matthew Lewis, Kalah Davis, Jamey Jessee, Angie Whiteside, Michelle Jessee and Candice Jenkins. Seven Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. H. G. Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday.
