Malcolm L. Livingood, 87, of Greenbend Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday morning, July 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born on January 22, 1934 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Irvin and Edna Roberts Livingood.

Malcolm was a retired carpenter and a former employee of the Rowan County Board of Education.

He enjoyed fishing, sports and NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Paul Livingood, Clayton Livingood, Ray Livingood, Herbert Livingood, Ralph Livingood and Willard Livingood and one sister, Junie Fay Livingood.

Survivors include his wife, Olonia Jones Livingood, whom he married on August 1, 1964, one son, James Livingood of Morehead, one daughter, Sharon Setser (David) of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, two sisters, Ruth Livingood and Gladys Livingood both of Morehead, four grandchildren, Shane Livingood (Starla), Christopher Schoolcraft (Elizabeth), Conner Livingood and Ryan Setser, four great-grandchildren, Addison, Isabella, Garrett and Eden and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 5, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Dr. Michael Spurlock and Brother Greg Hignite officiating.

Burial will follow in the James-Jones Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Schoolcraft, Shane Livingood, Doug Jones, Jeff W. Jones, Jeff Kidd and Jeff D. Jones.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is caring for all arrangements.
