Lucille Blankenship, 63 of Owingsville formerly of Elliott County passed away Sunday afternoon at her home after an illness of several weeks.
She was born in Fairborn, Ohio on November 16, 1956 to the late Bill Blankenship and Audrey Hicks Blankenship.
Lucille was a Loving mother and grandmother who attended the Hope Enterprise Baptist Church in Sandy Hook. She deeply admired her faith, spending time with her family and tending to her flowers. She worked several years at the Dollar General store. There she enjoyed talking and catching up with her customers.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a half brother, Jesse James Spencer and special friend Edna Horton.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Dale Lewis and Tony Ray Lewis both of Sandy Hook, one adopted son, Tony Ray Lewis Jr. also of Sandy Hook, one brother William Blankenship Jr. (Martha) of West Liberty, two sisters, Angie Palmer (Richard) of England and Ida May Johnson of Fairborn, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Courtney Radschweit, Keeli Lewis, Destiny Lykins, Tara Lewis, Sarah Lewis, Austin Lewis, Lindsy Lewis and Robbie Lewis, four great grandchildren, Kenneth, Izabella, Kendall and Izaiah. Survivors also include her daughter in law, Polly Lewis of Owingsville and special friend Keith Vanhoose.
Services will be held at a later date.
