Linda L. Lewis-Cosby, age 64 of Morehead went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Linda was born October 29, 1951 in Elliotville to Laura Ramey Lewis of Morehead and the late Lencil Eugene Lewis. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Morehead. Linda was a graduate of East Noble High School in Kendallville, Indiana and briefly attended Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne, Indiana during the 1990’s. Her father’s employment had relocated the family to Kendallville from their previous residence in Ypsilanti, Michigan. For many years, Linda worked as a nurse at Lagrange Nursing Home of Lagrange, Indiana.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one child and a sister-in-law Tonia Conn-Lewis. Linda is survived by her mother, her husband David Cosby of Morehead, a daughter Tammy (Eddie) Toy of Morehead, a son Brandon (Rebecca) Cosby of Lexington, a sister Pamela (Mackie) Manns of Albion, Indiana, a brother Donald Lewis of Elliotville, several cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and one expectant grandchild.

Linda enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, watching classic television shows, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation after 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with the Rev. Robert Kidd officiating.

Burial will follow in the Williams-Turner Cemetery in Elliottville.

Serving as pallbearers are Clay Gillum, Matthew Lewis, Justin Sloan, Dakota Manns, Ricky Manns, and Eddie Toy.
