Larry Wayne Caldwell, 66, of Ashland Kentucky, left this world on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, with loved ones around him at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born on March 3, 1956 in Mt Sterling, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Emma Caldwell and Harold Caldwell Jr.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Caldwell and is survived by his sister, Terri Caldwell Reffitt of Mt Sterling, Kentucky.
In addition to his sibling, he is survived by the love of his life, Miss Jackie, his longtime roommates (brothers), Eugene and Jon, his special friend and advocate, Hillary Brett, long time support and extended family, Keith Blankenbeckler, as well as a long list of beloved advocates and extended family at D&S Community Services and Blackburn Avenue. Special bonds built with his advocates, Chuck Hudson, Joe Farris, Jay Downs, Chris Young, Rafael Gonzales, Jennifer Chaney, Tiffany Butler-Coyer, as well as multiple others who had the opportunity to share in his life.
Larry was a firecracker, at times a bit explosive but still just as beautiful. He loved playing practical jokes, and pranking his housemates and staff. Larry was a simple man, who loved the country boy life style and his outlaw music. He was a huge fan of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. He loved his chewing tobacco, cutting a rug, ice-cold Coca-Cola, and beans and fish. He loved cutting a shine so much it is said he was twerking before it was cool. He loved doing things to make people laugh; this made him laugh too, which in turn got a bigger rise out of his housemates and staff. Larry had an infectious energy that would always bring a smile to your face. He loved attention and knew just how to get it. His laugh was infectious, and spirit was so bright. He loved spending time watching anything that depicted country living, westerns the most. He also loved ninja themed shows and movies; he loved mimicking the moves from the actors. He was quick to show off his ninja skills, from keys to a paycheck he sure knew how to be sneaky.
