Juanita Hutchinson Brown

Juanita Hutchinson Brown, 92, of Melbourne, Florida formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at her home in Florida.

She was born on August 31, 1934, in Crockett, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Roy and Anna Ferguson Hutchinson.

Juanita was a retired hairdresser and had owned and operated a beauty shop in Morehead for many years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Melbourne and a 60-year member of The Eastern Star (OES Chapter 227 in Morehead and OES Cape Canaveral Chapter 297 in Florida).

Juanita enjoyed reading and cooking. She was a people person, who loved spending time with her family and friends, especially the quality time that she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas “Tom” Brown, who passed away on January 27, 2005, and her four sisters, Luna Zinkiewicz, Iris Barham, Mary Fisher and Edith Stratton.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Brown Stewart (Mark) of Melbourne, her son, William Thomas Brown, Jr. (Nancy) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Amy Riordan, John Thomas “J. T.” Stewart (Jessica), Colleen Wawrykowicz and Michael Brown, four great-grandchildren, Avery Riordan, Kenley Riordan, Sean Stewart and Sienna Stewart and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Brown Cemetery in Morehead with Dr. Mark Stewart officiating.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with graveside services and burial immediately following at the Brown Cemetery in Morehead with Dr. Mark Stewart officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
