Joyce Arlene McDaniel Kissick

Joyce Arlene McDaniel Kissick, age 86 of Frankfort Kentucky, previously of Morehead Kentucky, died on October 27, 2026 after an extended illness. She was born December 21, 1939 at Dew Drop, Kentucky to the late William Jesse and Flossie Carter McDaniel. She is also preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Kissick and her brothers Gerald Marlin McDaniel and Hezia Allen McDaniel.

Joyce was a graduate of Morehead High School and Morehead State University. She was a former partner of Kissick Mobile Home Sales in Ashland, Virginia and Kissick Mobile Home Park in Morehead. Joyce was a former employee of Morehead State University and in 1995 retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Quality Control Analyst. She had formerly served on the Rowan County Democratic Executive Committee and was a Kentucky Colonel. Joyce enjoyed traveling and had been to all 50 states as well as several foreign countries and was an avid card player.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Chandra Kissick Venettozzi and granddaughter Vanessa Venettozzi of Frankfort Kentucky, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation is November 3, 2026, at noon at Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead Kentucky with celebration of life at 1:00 P.M. with Don Hall officiating with burial to follow in Crix Cemetery. Pallbearers are Vic Venettozzi and her nephews Bruce McDaniel, Robert McDaniel, Gary Riley, Taylor Barber, and Jacob Barber.
