Mrs. Joyce Story Darnall, Age 64 of Elizaville, passed away Monday evening, June 27, 2011 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born August 24, 1946 to the late Lloyd and Hazel Turner Story.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Story and Jerry Story and a sister Betty Story.
Joyce was retired from Flemingsburg Elementary School where she was a teacher's aide. She was a member of the Locust United Methodist Church, member and former President of the Ewing Homemakers Club.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting
Survivors include her husband Bruce Darnall. Two sons Timmy Darnall and Tony Darnall of Ewing, Kentucky and one daughter Tammy Darnall of Ewing.
Three brothers, Dr. Lloyd Story and Billy Story both of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Jimmy Story of Morehead, Kentucky.
Two sisters, Linda McDonald and Sue Watson both of Flemingsburg.
Also, several nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday at the Ewing Christian Church with Rev. Larry Ingram and Bro. Dean Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation at the church is after 11:00 AM Friday.
PallBearers will be Benny McDonald, Tommy McDonald, Bradley Watson, Stephen Watson, Bill Story, Matthew Story and Michael Watson.
Contributions are suggested to the Ewing Christian Church or the Locust United Methodist Church.
