Joseph Gumber, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Robert Gumber, Jr., 73, of Clearfield, Kentucky, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home.

He was born on June 17, 1945 in Salina, Kansas, a son of the late Joseph Robert Gumber, Sr. and Sophie Broniecki Gumber.

Mr. Gumber was retired from Midway Airport Shuttle Bus Services (AKA TR Harmsen Corp) in Chicago, where he had served as operations manager and he was a United States Navy Veteran.

He was very passionate about work and he dearly loved all of his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Noble Gumber, two sons, Joel Gumber (Jacki) of New Lenox, Illinois and William Gumber (Crysti) of Crestwood, Illinois, one daughter, Michelle Gumber (“Brian”) of Clearfield, two brothers, Jim Gumber of Downers Grove, Illinois and Bobby Robert Gumber of Wake Forest, North Carolina, ten grandchildren and another grandchild expected in March and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

There is no visitation.
