Mr. John Paul Kegley, 83, a prominent businessman and lifelong resident of Morehead, passed away at his home September 1, 2016.
After service in the US Navy, John Paul and his business partner Phillip R Lewis owned and operated Consolidated Ready Mix Concrete until 1977. For many years his evenings and weekends were filled operating various business interests and farming operations with his good friend John W (Bill) McClain. In 1983 John Paul opened First Street Liquors which he has been operating with his wife Faye.
John is survived by a sister, Lois Lancaster of Crestview, FL, his wife of 12 years Faye (Coyle) Kegley, one son, Mike (Janet) Kegley of Florence, KY, one daughter Nancy (David) Moran of Maysville, NC and step-son Joseph (Marie) Douglas of Olive Hill. He will be missed by his 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many friends.
At John's request there will not be any services.
