Johnny Fultz, Sr

Mr. Johnny Franklin Fultz, Sr., 66, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born on November 15, 1943 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of Nellie Barricks Fultz and the late Dewey Fultz.

Mr. Fultz was retired from Westinghouse and he was a United States Army Veteran. He was of the Baptist Faith, a member of the Morehead American Legion Post No. 26 and enjoyed painting wildlife pictures and fishing.

In addition to his father, Dewey Fultz, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam Chandler Fultz, Jackie Fultz, Plummer Fultz and Dewey "Bugs" Fultz, Jr. and two sisters, Alice Lee Clark and Medie Kidd.

Survivors include his mother, Nellie Barricks Fultz of Morehead, two sons, Johnny Franklin Fultz, Jr. and his wife, Tabitha of Muncie, Indiana and Troy Allen Fultz of Elkhart, Indiana, one daughter, Tammy Renea Miller and her husband, Charles of Farmland, Indiana, four brothers, Vernon Ray Fultz of Harrodsburg, Paul Edward Fultz, Dewayne Fultz and Jimmy Fultz all of Morehead, six sisters, Nervil Brendt and Gladys Adkins both of Indianapolis, Indiana, May Fultz, Sue Dienes, Geneva Brown and Vera Clark all of Morehead, seven grandchildren, Hailey Fultz, Cameron Fultz, Brady Fultz, Charles Miller, Tiffany Miller, Christopher Fultz and Jacey Fultz, two great-grandchildren, Liam Kelly and Rylee McCord, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 30, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Elder F. T. Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Fultz Family Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Sunday.

Pallbearers will be members of the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
