John Kittle

November 7, 1939 — July 20, 2015

John Wesley Kittle, 75, of Pond Lick Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

He was born on November 7, 1939 in Rising Sun, Indiana, a son of the late Fred and Pauline Hizer Kittle.

Mr. Kittle was a retired radiation therapist for St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

He assisted with the development and later taught in the x-ray technology program at Morehead State University and was an advisor for TKE fraternity.

John was a member of the Kentucky Long Rifle, North South Skirmish Association and he was the past president of the Rowan County Jaycees.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Hizer, Ernest Earl Kittle, James Kittle and Harry Robert “Bob” Kittle and three sisters, Minnie Belle Gridley, Bodie Jones and Juanita Katy Bright.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Butler Kittle, one daughter, Martha (Barry) Thompson of Hillsboro, one step-daughter, Heather Estelle Stevens of Morehead, one brother, Eddie (Wanda) Kittle of Vevay, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Brian Caudill officiating.

Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Thompson, Danny Mastin, Bobby Mastin, Mike Butler, Mike Jones, Mike Curtis, Calvin Conn and Paul Cooper.
