Jeffrey Jack “J.J.” Ryver, 44, of Cincinnati, Ohio formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2026 at Dehli Post-Acute Care in Cincinnati, Ohio after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease.
He was born on June 19, 1981 in Dearborn, Michigan, a son of Pamela Smith Henderson and the late Jeffrey Mace Ryver.
J.J. had previously worked at Nestle and he was a Christian.
He loved nature and anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
J.J. was a really good drummer and had played in a band and he was also really good at Kung Fu and had received numerous belts.
He was a people person but he really loved spending time with older people and little children.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack C. L. Smith and his paternal grandparents, Robert Harris Ryver and Dorothy Sheroke Ryver.
Survivors include his mother, Pamela Smith Henderson (Faron) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, one brother, Nathan Ryver (Cara) of Rush, Kentucky, his maternal grandmother, Shirley Faye Sanders Smith of Rush and several other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Andy Lands officiating.
Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
J. J. was laid to rest in the Fultz Cemetery on Christy Creek.
