Isaac Oliver

Isaac Thurman Oliver, 81, of Crown Point, Indiana, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 7, 1934 in Lucille, Kentucky, a son of the late Roscoe and Ella Oliver.
Mr. Oliver was a supervisor at Inland Steel, having retired in 1996. He was a member of the Crown Point Masonic Lodge and served in the United States Army.
Isaac enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching UK basketball.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Royse Oliver, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three daughters, Ella (Don) Scaggs, Lisa (Marcus) Raines, and Karen (Deb) Oliver-Raikes; grandchildren, Donnie (Kristeen) Scaggs III, Dustin Scaggs, Alicia Rose and Michael D. Obermeyer, Gavin and Declan Oliver-Raikes; great grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew Scaggs; also survived by sister, Mary Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Burdan Funeral Home in Cedar Lake, Indiana with Pastor Brian Powers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, Indiana.
Visitation at the Burdan Funeral Home is from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
