Harris Moore

Harris Cobie Moore, Age 27 of Morehead, passed away Saturday evening in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on April 20, 1988 to Harold F. Moore and Carol McKinney Moore.

Harris was a graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and worked with his father as a carpenter. He enjoyed raising a garden, welding, spending time at Lockegee and loved pets and his family. He especially loved his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Cobie Allen Moore, paternal grandparents Cobie and Ada Crose Moore and his maternal grandfather, Elbert McKinney.

Survivors include his parents, Harold F. Moore  of Morehead and Carol McKinney Moore of Morehead. One sister, Angel (Patrick) Simpson of Morehead. Maternal Grandparents, Forest Ray and Odema Gregory Buckner of Clearfield. Three aunts, Sandy McKinney Ledford of Campton, Kentucky, B. J. Corley-Moore of Azele, Texas, and Jenny McKinney of Oklahoma. One Uncle, Eric McKinney of Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Dean officiating.

Burial will follow in the McKinney Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.

Pall bearers will be Paris Nelson, Patrick Simpson, Terry Ison, Charlie Morrison, Timmy Staton, Travis Moore and Josh Sammons.
