Geneva Adkins
March 11, 1916 — June 7, 2011
Mrs. Geneva Jan Adkins, Age 95 of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the home of her son, Donnie Lake in Midland.
Mrs. Adkins was born in Morehead, Kentucky on March 11, 1916 to the late Lora and Elizabeth Weaver Moore.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising a garden and working in her flowers. Mrs. Adkins was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and hosting family dinners.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Adkins, grandson, Donnie Lake, Jr., brothers; Willis (Bill), Arthur, Ruby, Coba, Chester and two infant brothers.
Survivors include her son, Donnie (Sue) Lake of Bath County. One daughter Jeanne Lake of Morehead. Grandchildren; Debra Noonan, Lori Stalter, Daniel Lake, Robert Lake, Lisa Crum, Chris Cornett, Ashley Cornett and Teirra Lake. Also a special friend Jim Cantrell of Morehead and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 P.M. Friday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery on Christy Creek.
Visitation at the funeral home is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday.
