Frances Kidd

Frances Sturgill Kidd, age 91, of Morehead, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014, at her home after a brief illness.
She was born March 6, 1923, in Springfield, Illinois, a daughter of the late James and Anna Ethel Thomas Sturgill.
Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Gaddis Kidd in 1987, four brothers, James Phillip Sturgill, William Sturgill, Paul Sturgill and Charles Sturgill; and seven sisters, Geneva Black, Helen Foster, Margaret Moore, Ruth Sturgill, Sarah Esther Allen, Regina "Jean" Mack and an infant sister.
Her husband, Lewra "Larry" Kidd, whom she wed in 1941, passed away in 1996.
Frances was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and enjoyed traveling and taking care of her home.
Survivors include her close friend, Ray Ross of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be in the Brown Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Monday with the Rev. Molly Smothers officiating.
There is no visitation.
