Mr. Everett Lee Jennings, 72, of Belleview, Florida formerly of Morehead, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Munro Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.
He was born on April 2, 1942 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late William Jennings and Eva Workman Roberts.
Mr. Jennings was the owner and operator of Belleview Texaco and was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his classic cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry Jennings and an infant brother and one grandson, Dustin Jennings.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ava Thornsberry Jennings of Belleview, Florida, two sons, Gregory Scott Jennings of Prestonsburg and Darren Lee Jennings of Silver Springs Shores, Florida, one brother, William Jennings of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, five sisters, Faye Double of Toledo, Ohio, Edna Giles of Carey, Ohio, Carol Pennington of Georgetown, Anna Rae Lewis of Nevada, Ohio and Mary Wolfe of Shelby, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Gregory Scott Jennings II, Dustin Lee Jennings, Christina Marie Jennings, Elizabeth Sherry Jennings, Lori Wireman, Jeremy Chaffins, and Wesley Chaffins all of Kentucky and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Fugate officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
