Elisha David Christopher, 71, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday evening, April 16, 2013 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington after a brief illness.

He was born on March 1, 1942 in Clark County, Kentucky, a son of the late John E. and Eva Lou Richardson Christopher.

Mr. Christopher was a retired supervisor for Southwestern Tobacco Company and a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Darryl Christopher, Cecil Christopher and Wayne Christopher.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Goodman Christopher, three sons, Jeremy David Seth Christopher, Joell Brett Jacob Christopher and Jordan Brent Joshua Christopher, three daughters, Elisha Katie Lou Christopher of Louisville, Susan Reffitt of Winchester and Tammy Morton of Waynesburg, Ohio, one brother, Billy Carroll Christopher of Winchester, five sisters, Vicki Parsons of Frankfort, Sandy Christopher of West Virginia, Brenda Carrington, Frances Baber and Elizabeth Christopher all of Winchester, four grandchildren, Aaliyah Altamirano, Emily Altamirano, Tanner Altamirano and Jacob Altamirano and five other grandsons.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. David Starcher officiating.

Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery with full military rites by the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Altamirano, Richard C. Goodman, William J. Goodman, Jason Reffitt, Ramiro Carreon and Umberto Gonzalez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy David Seth Christopher, Joell Brett Jacob Christopher, Jordan Brent Joshua Christopher, Elisha Katie Lou Christopher, Aaliyah Altamirano, Emily Altamirano, Tanner Altamirano and Jacob Altamirano.
