Elder John Click, Jr.

June 5, 1928 — February 26, 2018

Elder John Click, Jr., 89, of Indiana formerly of Morehead, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018.

He was born on June 5, 1928 in Haldeman, Kentucky.

John loved telling stories of his time growing up in Kentucky with his wife Betty.  They knew each other their entire lives and were married on August 24, 1950.  John built a house in Morehead, while working at the brickyards and coal mines.  In the early 60s, he was employed at U.S. Steel and moved his family to Indiana.  He retired after 26 years from U.S. Steel, then went on to be head of maintenance at Pines Village retirement home.  John had a strong faith in God and was an Elder in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.  He loved Bluegrass music and his family has fond memories of him joking, singing, playing his guitar and being ornery.  He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Pearl Click, daughter, Patricia Childers and granddaughter, Amy Dixon.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (George) Patitsas; son, John W. Click; grandson, Chris (Susie Kim) Childers; granddaughters, Amanda (Kevin) Martin, Megan (Shane) Murphy, Jessi (Bob) Zatarski, Margret Patitsas; and great grandchildren, Liam & Ainslee Martin.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the New Sill Cemetery at Haldeman.
