Edith Wilson

Mrs. Edith Wells Wilson, 86 of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born January 16, 1930 in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Oscar and Vada Williams Wells.

Mrs. Wilson was a lifelong member of the Battle Run Christian Church and also attended the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Wilson, daughter, Martha Jane Selvage, an infant daughter and a daughter-in-law, Mary Kathy Wilson. Also, a brother, James Wells, sisters, Ella Simons, Ruby Boggess, Lucille Carpenter, Christine Dotson, Daulene McCord, Ruth Whitton, Grace Bentley, Cora Mae Wells and Bernice Leet Grant.

Survivors include four sons, Jim Wilson, II of Union, Kentucky, Donnie (Pam) Wilson of Batavia, Ohio, Ronnie (Becky) Wilson of Bardstown, Kentucky and Bill (Rachel) Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio. Son-in-law, Don Selvage of Carlisle, Kentucky. One brother, Leslie Wells of Missouri.  37 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Elkow officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Casket Bearers will be Todd Long, Mark Fox, Arnie Fields, Trey Carpenter, Sonny Wells and Tony Kinder. Honorary Bearers will be Woodie Todd, Carol Spencer and Donnie Carpenter.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Price Bros. Funeral Home in Elizaville, Kentucky.
