Edith Fields

Mrs. Edith Darlene Skaggs Fields, 49, of Little Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 in the St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

She was born on July 14, 1960 in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of Phyllis Jean Blouir Skaggs and the late William Humphrey Skaggs.

Edith was a homemaker and a Christian. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Eugene Fields, who passed away on November 4, 2009.

Survivors include one son, Randy Pelfrey and his wife, Onia of Morehead, one daughter, Becky Pelfrey and her fiancAC., Scott Mabry of Morehead, her mother, Phyllis Jean Skaggs of Morehead, two brothers, Bill Skaggs and his wife, Marcia of Booneville, Indiana and Jay Skaggs and his wife, Crystal of Morehead, one sister, Theresa Komisarcik and her husband, Phillip of Merrillville, Indiana and four grandchildren, Brandon, Alisha, Jaden and William.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Brother Jason Salyer and Rev. Marion Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams-Turner Cemetery at Elliottville. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Randy Pelfrey, Bill Skaggs, Jay Skaggs, Scott Mabry, Willie Christopher and Dwayne Christopher and honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Pelfrey and Austin Barker.
