Earl Freeman Chadwell

Mr. Earl Freeman Chadwell, 98, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 in the Life Care Center of Morehead.

He was born on September 16, 1918 in Tazewell, Tennessee, a son of the late Silas Ross Chadwell and Leka Viola Cloud Chadwell.

Mr. Chadwell was a farmer, truck driver and welder.

He enjoyed working.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Pettit Chadwell, who passed away on February 28, 1999, an infant son, Larry David Chadwell, an infant daughter, Eva Jane Chadwell, one brother, Clyde Chadwell and one sister, Glessie Keck.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie (Patsy) Chadwell and Michael (Helen) Chadwell both of Morehead, two daughters, Patricia Austin of Morehead and Brenda (Howard) Kenley of Georgetown, six grandchildren, Michael David Chadwell, Jonathan (Carrie) Austin, Brian (Carol) Austin, Jennifer (Terron) Parsons, Patrick R. (Joanna) Chadwell and Jason Shawn (Miriam) Chadwell, nine great-grandchildren, Dominique Austin, Josh Austin, Noah Austin, Mikayla Austin, Katie Parsons, Audrey Parsons, Ava Parsons, Kaiden Ross Chadwell and Noah Fredrick Freeman Chadwell and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Shawn Chadwell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bruce-Tussey Cemetery.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Chadwell, Shawn Chadwell, Terron Parsons, Jonathan Austin, David Chadwell and Brian Austin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
