E. Razor

Mr. E. C. "Pug" Razor, 86, of Litton Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday morning, September 8, 2010 at his home.

He was born on May 21, 1924 in Bath County, Kentucky, a son of the late Robert and Effie Snedegar Razor.

Mr. Razor was a retired auto body repairman having owned and operated Pug's Body Shop. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Moore's Ferry Christian Church, the Morehead Lions Club and the American Legion. Pug enjoyed gardening, woodworking and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Bradley Razor, who passed away on August 19, 1986, his daughter, Susan Deane Razor Gilliam, who passed away on January 29, 2002, five brothers, Wayne Razor, Jim Razor, Bennie Razor, Kelly Razor and Granville Razor and one sister, Lucille Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Mondell Salyer Razor, two sons, John Razor and his wife, Kathi of Knoxville, Tennessee and Phillip Razor and his wife, Judy of Hickory, North Carolina, special son-in-law, Paul D. Gilliam of Morehead, two sisters, Janice Otis and Freda Purvis both of Owingsville, one half-sister, Mildred Thompson of Muncie, Indiana and two grandchildren, Ashley Susan Gilliam and Bradley Razor.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Johnson officiating.

Burial with full military rites by the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126 will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Friday.

Pallbearers will be members of the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Contributions are suggested to the Morehead Lions Club.
