Dustin Mitchell “Dusty” Caudill, 55, of Morehead, Kentucky, went to have coffee in Heaven on Wednesday September 9, 2026 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born on May 3, 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dustin was a graduate of Rowan County Senior High School.
Dusty was known to be sweet and funny. He loved his coffee and tea, and he was all about snacks. If he loved you, he would “fish face” you with his big cheesy chipmunk grin. Dustin didn’t sweat the small stuff. He believed in being completely comfortable at all times. Dustin’s favorite person in his life was always his mom. We just know he’s in Heaven having coffee with Mommy right now.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linda L. Caudill and Larry Caudill, and his buddy and roommate, Charles.
Dustin is survived by brother, Russell L. Caudill, sister, Veronica Caudill Saunders (Donald), nieces Abbrielle and Rosemary Caudill, and nephews Wesley and Cheyenne Moore, Trey and Cayden Thomas, and Rusty Caudill, plus a host of great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dustin was a well known member of the community, everywhere he went, people knew him and loved him. So the family would like to invite anyone and everyone who knew him and loved him to come to his service. And if you want, wear comfortable shorts, bright shirts, or pajama pants, in honor of his favorite style.
Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 14, 2026 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.
Burial will follow in the Cranston Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead will be from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Moore, Cheyenne Moore, Trey Thomas, Cayden Thomas, Cheyanna Moore, and Mathew Vires.
Honorary pallbearers will be other nieces, nephews, and those who loved him.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to his caregivers. They were not just caregivers to Dustin, they were family.
